JK ROWLINGS PLEA FOR SANITY

Within hours you will know what happens to Harry, Ron, Hermione and the rest in their final adventure. All the secrets I have been carrying around for so long will be yours, too, and those who guessed correctly will be vindicated, and those who guessed wrongly will not. I hope, you will not be too disappointed! As for me, I feel a heady mixture of excitement, nerves and relief. 'Deathly Hallows' remains my favourite of the series, even after several re-reads; I cannot wait to share it with the readers who have stuck with me through six previous books.
We are almost there! As launch night looms, let's all, please, ignore the misinformation popping up on the the web and in the press on the plot of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I'd like to ask everyone who calls themselves a Potter fan to help preserve the secrecy of the plot for all those who are looking forward to reading the book at the same time on publication day. In a very short time you will know EVERYTHING!

It is sad that some people are so ruled by greed and profit.

Everyone has a take on what went wrong and how ineffective the $20 million dollars was in preserving the secret of Harry Potter.

Seth Godin the internet guru thinks that:
The act of printing, storing and shipping millions of books takes too long for a secret to ever be in a book again.
My solution? A hybrid. Publish the first edition of the book without the last three chapters.

The idea is to then have the final three chapters online. I am sorry to disappoint you Seth but dishonest people could get around that too.

All you would need is some spoof site or mirror site declaring to have hacked the Harry Potter site, etc. All the security measures and such involved would bring that end-of-book-website to a crawl and crash as the million of readers tune in at once.

No, I am afraid no solution would be enough. Except to have people come to their sense and forgo their greed and learn that some things ARE worth waiting for indeed.

HARRY POTTER'S LAST DAY OF SUSPENSE

After today no more Harry Potter suspense. All the months of speculation and theorizing will be over. The biggest mystery since who shot Jr will finally come to an end.

The world of Harry Potter will be complete. As Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix goes on sale at midnight tonight.

I just hope the final book will make the whole series justice. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7)
